Collection runner
The runner sends every request in a collection or folder in turn, through the same steps as Send, and keeps the results. Runs happen in the desktop app. To run a collection from CI, use porticol-cli; to run one on a schedule, use a monitor.
Start a run
Choose Run… on a collection or folder in the sidebar, press Mod+R with it selected, or type the collection's name after Run in the command palette. Then set:
- Environment for this run, or none
- Iterations: how many times to run the requests, up to 100,000
- Data file: a CSV or JSON file of up to 50 MB, with a row for each iteration whose values are variables
- Delay between requests
- Stop on first failure
- Requests to run: which ones, and in what order
Results
Results appear as the run goes. Filter them by request name or URL, or by whether they passed, and open one to see its request, response and test results.
Past runs are listed in the Runs section, which Show runs in the palette opens, and on the Runs tab of the collection or folder. The newest 100 runs are kept. Open one to read its results again or run it again.
Reports
Export a run as a JUnit XML report, a JSON report or a self-contained HTML page. Every
secret value is masked in the report. porticol-cli writes the same reports from CI;
see the command line reference.
